In order to allow extra time indicate the beginning and end of time period for the student

Teacher submits the exam on a disk (delete lines)

-         Library staff will print a copy in Braille on paper
-         Student uses Brailler for the exam
-         Teacher must arrange to meet the student for a reading of the exam before any contact with others

Teacher submits the exam on a disk (delete lines)

-         Library staff will print a copy in Braille on paper
-         Student uses JAWS on computer for the exam
-         Student saves a copy on the disk
-         Teacher picks up the disk after the exam

Teacher submits the exam on a disk

-         Student uses JAWS on computer for the exam
-         Student saves a copy on the disk
-         Teacher picks up the disk after the exam

Teacher sends the exam to the student’s e-mail account at the time of the exam

-         Student uses JAWS on the computer for the exam
-         Student uses reply on e-mail to return the exam to the teacher

Note the limitations in the use of JAWS:

-         the use of tables causes confusion
-         the use of “in bold” is not possible
-         answers for multiple choice questions come after the statement
-         only two Braillers and two computers at the same time
-         only one computer with JAWS in Arabic
-         headphones are available to avoid disturbance from a second user
-         no bags nor books in the room during an exam
