Student-Assistants Meeting

Thursday Feb. 14, 2008 Hana’ Ali is this semester’s Best Student-Assistant in the Library. On February 14, 28 Community Service Students and Students of the Work-Study Program joined together to witness the awarding of a certificate to Hana’ who also received a letter of appreciation from Brother Robert Smith, FSC, Academic Vice President and Acting Vice Chancellor. Present from the Library Staff were: Ms. Rebecca Calaor, Ms. Vera Kousa, Mr. Francis Sleibi, Ms. Valerie Rock, Ms. Juana Juha and Ms. Mellie Brodeth. Ms. Mary Claire Sahhar-Habash welcomed the students and led the program to its successful end with a power-point presentation on “who’s who in the library” and work orientation/tasks to be done in the Library prepared by the AV staff. Every student was also given a simple gift to celebrate Valentine’s Day, a day when we celebrate love. We were all reminded that service in the library is underpinned with love.
