The online acquisition unit of
LibSys.net is now ready for use. Instead of submitting
the Book Order Request Form as in the past, follow the
steps outlined below to make requests for purchase of
new books in the library.
From the intranet site:

Open the BU Library page.

Open “Services” and “Online
Acquisition.”

Login with your university user
name and password.

Select “New request.”

The acquisition page opens.

Fill completely and accurately
the data for a new purchase.

Hit “Insert” and the request will
be saved for the acquisition librarian.

For another entry hit "New" and
continue.
Please be attentive to enter data
correctly; note an inaccurate ISBN number will lead to
the purchase of an unwanted item. Be attentive also not
to send a request for the same book twice or a book
already on the shelves. Time is needed to place an
order, shipping and processing; allow plenty of time
before the book is needed. Only Deans, Chairs,
Directors and their secretaries with the proper approval
are authorized to make the request. If a department
member is delegated with this responsibility, please
inform the acquisition librarian.
